About USA Interactive
USA Interactive provides an easy-to-navigate portal for accessing Government and America’s history. Our website is designed to help further the principles and goals of the Administration to make government more open, accessible, collaborative and transparent.
We merge the history of the United States with updated access to the Government, integrating the past with the policies and goals of the present and future administrations into one invaluable resource for business, travel, students and parents.

USA Interactive is a 100% private sector project. No government funding or government involvement was used during its development. There is no express or implied endorsement by any branch or agency of the U.S. government of any goods or services provided by this application. The use of the Great Seal of the United States and other government materials and images are not intended to convey the impression of sponsorship or approval by the Government of the United States.

The effort of this administration to open government to its citizens, to make it more accessible to us, sows the seeds of opportunity for the introduction of exactly this kind of website and companion mobile applications.

Through transparency in open government, public participation and collaboration, together we will make this a better country. This brings us much closer to the true meaning our forefathers had for this country. It is our aim is that we are making a meaningful contribution toward these goals.

We take an active role in community service as we have been doing so for nearly two decades. One of the lessons we have learned is that even ordinary individuals, like ourselves, can and do make a difference when we choose to be active and involved in the issues and realize that we can make a positive contribution.

USA Interactive, iUSA an IAmerica are the most exciting projects we have ever worked on. We began this project very modestly with the concept of developing a relatively simple K-12 educational application. But as the project evolved we discovered a tremendous wealth of under-utilized government resources that could be better organized to reflect the way the public is accessing information today via the internet and the mobile platforms – iPhone™ and iPod Touch™.

As we got deeper into development of this application we began asking ourselves how we could help improve government via the internet and mobile platform to provide a more collaborative and participatory framework toward open government.

As for our background, we are product developers with many years experience in the field of product and software development. Portals of various kinds are a part of what we have previously worked on and developed. We brought our experience and knowledge toward the challenge or organizing an application that brings the wide-ranging facets of the United States and worked to weave them together to create this portal.
